Nepal records 5,153 new COVID-19 cases, 108 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 1,226 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 5,153 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 3,870 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 1,283 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 836 persons in Kathmandu, 269 in Lalitpur, and 121 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 1,226 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 108 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 6,570 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
