Youth leaders of NC urge President Deuba to arrange for General Convention



KATHMANDU: The youth leaders of Nepali Congress (NC) have urged party President Sher Bahadur Deuba to act affirmatively to ensure that party’s 14th general convention takes place in stipulated time despite the wide spreading coronavirus pandemic.

NC Central Working Committee members, including Chandra Bhandari, Dhana Raj Gurung, Guru Ghimire, Gagan Thapa, Pradip Poudel,  Jivan Pariyar among others reached at party President Deuba’s residence at Budhanilkantha, on Tuesday, to remind that it is everyone’s responsibility to play their role to make it possible to organize the general convention at the scheduled date.

The deadline for the active members’ data entry is till Tuesday midnight. The distribution and renewal of active membership is affected due to the internal conflict in various districts including Sindhupalchowk.

The leaders have urged the leadership to reschedule and shorten the district and central conventions so as to make the general convention possible in the announced date.

According to the leaders, President Deuba also assured to strive further to make the general convention possible within the given time.
