Toxic mushroom kills 2, injures 2 in Ilam



ILAM: Two people have died and two others have been taken ill after consuming poisonous mushrooms in Ilam district.

The deceased have been identified as 50-year-old Tika Bahadur Rai and Jit Bahadur Rai, 52, of  Sandakpur rural municipality-1.

Similarly, Birman Rai and his wife Bishnu Kumari Rai are undergoing treatment at B & C Hospital in Jhapa, said DSP Laldhwaj Subedi.

Four of them had consumed mushroom brought by Birman Rai on June 5.

They were taken ill after consuming mushroom and were rushed to District Hospital, Ilam.
