KATHMANDU: Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has forecast rainfall in some places of Pradesh 1, 2, Bagmati Pradesh and Gandaki Pradesh today.
Light rain is expected amidst thunderstorms in some places in some places of Pradesh 1, 2, Bagmati and Gandaki Pradesh due to westerly eastern and local winds, said Shanti Kandel, a meteorologist.
Since this is the pre-monsoon period, heavy rains might occur in some places and light rain in some places, said Kandel.
The temperature of Bhairahawa was recorded at 40 degree Celsius yesterday. Similarly, it was recorded at 38 degree Celsius in Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Janakpur.
The temperature is likely to continue even today, according to weather bulletin issued by MFD.
The Kathmandu Valley’s temperature is expected between 30 to 32 degree Celsius today. It was 32 degree yesterday.
