UK adds Nepal to COVID-19 travel red list



KATHMANDU: Nepal has figured on United Kingdom’s COVID-19 red list for travel.

Travel from countries on the red list is banned except for British and Irish citizens and official UK residents.

The UK added Nepal, Maldives and Turkey on its red list on Saturday. The travel ban from Nepal to UK will come into effect from May 17.

UK maintains red, amber and green travel lists of countries to tackle the COVID-19 situation in the country.
