KATHMANDU: The government will be bringing 400 empty oxygen cylinders from China.

A meeting of Covid -19 Crisis Management Centre held Friday under the chair of its coordinator and Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokhrel decided to bring 400 cylinders, out of 20,000, in the first phase from the northern neighbour, according to DPM’s press advisor Ganesh Pandey.

Nepal Airlines Corporation’s wide-body aircraft will be leaving for China on May 10 for the same.

The Government of China has, at the call of the government, decided to assist 20,000 empty oxygen cylinders to Nepal when the country is struggling with the massive spread of Covid-19.

Of the agreed assistance, 2,000 cylinders will be brought by planes and remaining 18,000 will be brought via land route, it is said.RSS
