KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has increased by 2.74 points on Thursday.
With today’s increment, the index has reached 2674.36 points.
As mid-April approaches, investors are in a wait-and-see situation. As a result, there was no significant fluctuation in the market indicators as well as the transaction amount.
A total of 133.76 million shares were traded today, resulting in a turnover of Rs 6.55 billion.
The finance company sub-index increased the most at 3.18 percent, the microfinance sub-index by 2.09 percent, and the market-leading banking sub-index by 0.1 percent.
Meanwhile, other sub-indices declined the most by 1.07 percent, while hydropower sub-indices declined by 0.88 percent and trade sub-indices by 0.81 percent.
Upper Tamakoshi has led in the transaction amount. The company had a turnover of 359.39 million while Nepal Infrastructure Bank had a turnover of 246.287 million and Nepal Bank had a turnover of 241.64 million.
Shares of NIC Asia Microfinance, Green Life Hydropower, Jyoti Life Insurance, Multipurpose Finance, Reliance Finance, and Global IME Microfinance saw a positive circuit on Thursday.
Shares of Universal Power and Rasuwagadhi Hydropower decreased by over 4 percent. Of the 97 companies traded today, the share price of 72 companies has decreased. Similarly, the prices of 10 companies remained stable.
