NEPSE sets new record with transaction worth Rs 10.61 billion



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange index has set a record in share market and reached to the highest point on Monday.

According to NEPSE, the index rose by 37.48 points to reach 561.47 points. The sensitive index, which measures the performance of big companies, rose by 7.28 points and reached 466.60 points.

With the increase of highest point in NEPSE, the amount traded has also increased. A total of 211,555 units of shares of 206 companies worth Rs 10.61 billion were traded. After today’s transaction, market capitalization has increased to Rs 340 billion.

Out of 12 sub-groups, share of seven sub-groups increased while share of five sub-groups declined. Prabhu Bank stood at the top position today based on transaction. The Bank made a transaction of worth Rs 621.353 million.

Nepal Life Insurance, Nabil Bank, Deprosc Microfinance, Global IME Bank, First Microfinance, Nepal Reinsurance Company, Himalayan Distillery, NIC Asia Bank remained in top position based on their transaction.
