PM Oli arrives Dhangadhi to address NCP’s mass meeting



DHANGADHI: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has arrived in Dhangadhi to address the fourth extended plenum of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP).

Prime Minister Oli landed at Dhangadhi Airport by a flight of Shree Airlines.  Oli will address a provincial level mass meeting being organized in Dhangadhi, informed Prime Minister’s Press Advisor Surya Thapa.

No representatives from the provincial government went to the airport to receive Prime Minister Oli. The secretariat of Chief Minister Trilochan Bhatta said no officials went to the airport to receive Oli as they did not get official information regarding Oli’s visit.

Meanwhile, the security has been tightened in view of Prime Minister Oli’s visit to Dhangadhi, said Sudurpaschim Pradesh Police Office, Dipayal.

A provincial committee meeting of the Oli-led faction of the NCP on Wednesday had extended the provincial committee to a 551-member committee.

Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supply Lekh Raj Bhatta, Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Gauri Shankar Chaudhari, Minister for Forest and Environment Prem Ale and Minister for General Administration Ganesh Singh Thagunna are in Dhangadhi since the last four days and are making preparations to present over 50,000 people in today’s mass meeting.

The meeting also appointed Industry Minister and Standing Committee member Lekh Raj Bhatta as the chief coordinator of the Far-Western Province. Thapa further said, action has been recommended against Rawal for withdrawing money from the party’s account.

“The meeting has also recommended action against Bhim Rawal for embezzling Rs 3 million from the party’s account,” Thapa has written on his Facebook.
