Former Ambassador Paudyal hands over oxygen concentrators in Gulmi

GULMI: The local levels in Gulmi district have been receiving health supplies in grant from different sides as part of preparations against the possible outbreak of the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Recently, former Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal and former ambassador of Nepal to China Leela Mani Paudyal handed over 20 oxygen concentrators to different health centres in Gulmi.

It is said that he provided eight pieces of oxygen concentrators for Gulmi Hospital, Tamghas, and two each for Ridi Health Centre, Dhurkot Health Centre, Johang Health Centre and Sringha Health Centre.

Likewise, one each concentrator was given to Bamgha, Baletaksar, Musikot and Chandrakot. The oxygen concentrators were brought in with support from Chinese people with the initiatives of Paudyal.

During an event organized to hand over the concentrators, Paudyal said that the concentrators were provided with support from the Chinese nationals to ensure oxygen supply to the needy ones in the hospitals and safeguard the lives of patients. He also asked all the health institutions to fully utilise the given health equipment.

On the occasion, Chief District Officer of Gulmi Punya Bikram Poudel expressed his gratitude to the donors and said that such a support would increase the morale of health workers and patients as well.

Likewise, chairs of different local levels and other representatives from the district praised the contributions made by Paudyal to facilitate for the supplies of goods.

Prior to this, Paudyal had provided 100,000 pieces of facemasks in the district of Gulmi.
