Former PM Prachanda and Minister Bhusal in Manang to inspect damage caused by floods



KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal have reached the Himalayan district of Manang on Saturday to inspect the damage caused by the floods and landslides.

According to sources, a team comprising former PM Prachanda, Energy Minister Bhusal, former ministers Dev Gurung and Tek Bahadur Gurung, energy secretary and head of the Electricity Authority is scheduled to inspect the flood-hit areas in Manang on Saturday.

The leaders will observe the physical damage caused by the floods and landslides on June 16.

Chief District Officer Bishnu Lamichhane informed that the team has a program to inspect the damaged structures of Timang, Chame, Danakyu of Nass, Tilchetal and other places in the district.
