Prachanda tweets PM’s statement misleading, conspiratorial

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has countered the allegation made by CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli that communist unity could not be maintained because of him.

He said Prime Minister Oli’s statement that the unity effort could not last due to him was false, misleading and conspiratorial.

PM Oli, in a proposal for party unity Sunday, mentioned that he had proposed unity with the Maoist center even after the Supreme Court order. He blamed Prachanda of reluctance to unite then.

“I strongly condemn such expressions,” Prachanda wrote on Twitter Monday.
