JSP’s Thakur-Mahato faction to boycott Province Assembly meeting in Province 2



KATHMANDU: As many as 20 lawmkers of the Thakur-Mahato faction of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) have decided to boycott the Provincial Assembly (PA) meeting of Province 2.

The lawmakers loyal to Thakur-Mahato faction of Province 2 will not attend the PA session, said leader Parmeshwor Sah Sudi.

According to him, the lawmakers of Thakur-Mahato have made up their mind to boycott the assembly meeting after  Lal Babu Raut was elected as the JSP parliamentary party leader against the party statute.

Chief Minister Raut of Yadav-Bhattarai faction on Sunday relieved four ministers and a state minister of their posts of Thakur-Mahato faction.

Chief Minister Raut is making preparations to form a new government in alliance with Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Center) in Pradesh 2.
