KATHMANDU: The Nepal Army has brought into operation Navjyoti Oxygen Plant in Kavre, which remained non-operational owing to lack of technical expertise.

The plant with a capacity of 150 cubic meters has come into operation today. After the operation of its two plants, around 1,000 to 1,200 cylinders of 40 liters can be produced every day.

Army spokesperson Santosh Ballabh Poudel said the Nepal Army has kept an army truck ready on standby in case of any problem in transporting oxygen.
