UML’s Nepal-Khanal faction announces parallel committee in Sudurpaschim Province

KATHMANDU: The Madhav Kumar Nepal-led faction of the CPN-UML has formed a parallel party committee in Sudurpaschim Province.

The parallel provincial committee led by party Standing Committee member Bhim Rawal was announced today.

The committee comprises Chakra Bahadur Malla (Doti), Dirgha Sodari (Kailali), Mahadev Bhatta (Baitadi), Gagan Rawal (Bajura), Tara Tamang (Kanchanpur), Sher Bahadur Kunwar (Accham), and Dil Bahadur Singh (Bajhang).

The faction had on Tuesday announced a parallel committee led by Asta Laxmi Shakya in Bagmati Province.

The disgruntled faction of the UML party has been forming parallel committees across the country amid a widening crisis within the party.

It should be noted that party Chairman and Prime Minister KP Oli has taken action against several leaders of the Madhav Kumar Nepal-led faction.
