KATHMANDU: The Nepal government is administering China-produced COVID-19 vaccine ‘Vero Cell’ from today.
The vaccine will be administered to the people aged between 18 and 59 years including professors, Nepali students pursuing their studies in China, those visiting China, people working at hotels, advertising and trekking agencies, Internet sector, pharmacies and fruits and vegetable shops.
The vaccine will be administered from 14 vaccination centers in the Kathmandu Valley designated by the government.

- Nepal Medical College, Attarkhel
- Kathmandu Medical College, Sinamangal
- Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center, Bansbari
- Nepal Armed Police Force Hospital, Balambu
- Nepal Police Hospital, Panipokhari
- Om Hospital and Research Center, Chabahil
- Chhetrapati Free Clinic, Chhetrapati
The 800,000 doses of vaccine produced by the Chinese vaccine company Sinopharm had arrived in Nepal on March 29.
