KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) has been adjourned for 10 minutes.

Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota adjourned the session of the reinstated HoR after Nepali Congress lawmakers obstructed the session demanding immediate withdrawal of the ordinances.

Law Minister Lila Nath Shrestha tabled an ordinance relating to Duties, Functions and Rights of the Constitutional Council.

Earlier, the main opposition party, NC demanded immediate withdrawal of the ordinances that the government was set to present at the reinstated House of Representatives.

“NC demanded the government to take back all the ordinances,” NC Chief Whip Bal Krishna Khand.

The party then obstructed the session when Law Minister Lila Nath Shrestha was tabling the ordinance.

NC lawmakers shouted slogans and gheroed the rostrum demanding immediate withdrawal of the ordinance.
