Half a dozen ordinances being tabled at parliament meeting today



KATHMANDU: The first meeting of House of Representatives (HoR) taking place at 4 pm today following its instatement.

According to a press note issued by the Federal Parliament Secretariat, various ordinances issued earlier by the government will be tabled in the meeting of the seventh session of the HoR.

A half a dozen ordinances ranging from acid attack to appointments in constitutional bodies issued by the government will tabled.

As per the federal provision, the ordinances issued during the period when there was parliament should be submitted in the first meeting of the parliament after it commences.

Similarly, the letters sent by the Office of the President will be read out in the meeting by Speaker Agni Sapkota.

The meeting will also pass the condolence motion on the demise of former lawmakers, according to the federal parliament secretariat.
