Chief Justice urges to conclude debate within February 12



KATHMANDU: Chief Justice (CJ) Cholendra Shamsher Rana has directed public prosecutors to conclude the debate on the issue of dissolving the parliament within this week.

Chief Justice Rana has instructed the lawyers arguing in favor of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to expedite the debate.

On Sunday, on behalf of the Attorney General’s Office, the judges instructed Ramesh Badal, who was present on behalf of the Prime Minister, to expedite the debate.

Badal had replied to Chief Justice Rana that it would not take more time than the petitioner.

The petitioners had debated against the dissolution of the parliament for 13 days. But Chief Justice Rana said he could not give much time.

Chief Justice Rana said, “It is too late now. Hurry up You should also give time for answers later. There are also senior advocates. This should be completed within a week. Even then, we need some time.
