Two prisons get computers



DANG: Computers have been provided to two jails of Dang district with an objective of developing the prison as the learning place with correction center.

Ghorahi and Tulasipur prisons each got 10 computers at the coordination of Rotary Club of Dang with collaboration of different rotary clubs and organizations.

The computers were provided with the support of Goodwill Community Foundation NC, USA, Rotary Clun of Branchburg, USA, Rotary Club of Dhulikhel. Community Service Center and Friends of Nepal of Asha Project.

Representative of Goodwill Community, Ashok Shrestha, shared that the computers were provided with the objective of developing the prison as the learning place with correction center as well as to make the life easier after the release from jail.

He further said that they provided the computers with an objective of imparting knowledge of technology along with bookish knowledge.

Similarly, Chief District Officer, Jay Narayan Acharya, opined that one can get knowledge about new technology and age-appropriate knowledge even in prison.

Likewise, jailer of Tulasipur prison, Yubraj Pariyar and jailer of Ghorahi jail, Bishnu Prasad Pandey, suggested inmates to gain knowledge utilizing this opportunity.
