NA meeting: Gautam nominated to Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee

KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Vice-Chairman and National Assembly member Bamdev Gautam has been nominated to the Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee of the National Assembly.

A meeting of the upper house on Thursday unanimously nominated Gautam.

National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Timilsina told the meeting that Gautam was nominated as per sub-rule 1 of rule 149 of the National Assembly Rules 2075 BS.

Similarly, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Lilanath Shrestha presented the annual report of the Madhesi Commission 2076/77 BS on behalf of Prime Minister KP Oli.

National Assembly members including Gautam, Uday Sharma Poudel, Komal Oli, Ramesh Chandra Rayamajhi, Khemlal Bhattarai, Mrigendra Kumar Singh Yadav, and Ram Narayan Bidari aired their views at the meeting.

The next meeting will be held at 1 pm tomorrow.
