Police seize 114 kg hashish in Birgunj



BIRGUNJ: Police have seized 114 kilograms of hashish from Birgunj Metropolitan City-19, Parwanipur.

The contraband was seized from the container van, Na 6 Kha 5643, upon its arrival in Birgunj from Makwanpur, said DIG Dhiraj Pratap Singh of Province 2 Police Office.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint police squad deployed from Province 2 Police Office, and Disaster Management Company, Parsa recovered the illegal drugs concealed under the false bottom of the container van.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking container van driver Rabin Tamang of Palung municipality-11.
