Unclaimed rhino’s horn found in Chitwan

CHITWAN: An unclaimed rhino’s horn has been found at Meghauli in the Chitwan National Park (CNP).

The rhino’s horn was recovered in Budhirapti area, informed Chief Conservation Officer Ananath Baral. The horn has presumably been broken and fallen into the floor while two male rhinos fought with each other, according to Baral.

Staffers of the CNP lunched a manhunt for the rhino following the recovery of the horn. Meanwhile, a male rhino of around 20 years was found without horn.

With this incident, the security has been tightened in the CNP. The CNP is famous for one-horned rhinos in the world.
