UML Chair Oli urges to observe Tihar frugally



KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has urged Nepali people to celebrate Tihar festival in a frugal manner.

Conveying greetings on the occasion of Bhai Tika today, the main festival of Tihar, Chair Oli said, “It is not good to spend big money on festivals. We should maintain restraints and frugality while observing such festivals like Tihar.”

Deusi-Bhailo which are played as part of celebration of Tihar festival will help foster brotherhood, social harmony, good will and tolerance, among the people, said Oli in his message.

On a different note, Oli has claimed that the government had entered a new phase of infrastructures and human development under the slogan of ‘Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepali’ during his premiership.
