Maoist Center finalizes names to join Deuba cabinet



KATHMANDU: The CPN-Maoist Center has decided on three ministers and one minister of state to join Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba-led cabinet.

According to sources, the Standing Committee (SC) meeting of the party held Wednesday at its central office in Paris Danda, Koteswor has finalized the list of the ministers and a state minister to join the Council of Ministers.

As per the SC decision, lawmakers Debendra Poudel, Shashi Shrestha and Maheshwar Gahatraj will assume the post of the ministers while Bodh Maya Yadav will be the minister of state.

Maoist Center has already two ministers — Janardan Sharma as Finance Minister and Pampha Bhusal as Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation  — in the cabinet.
