CK Raut’s party protests before CIAA office in Province 2

Seeks tougher action against guilty

KATHMANDU: The CK Raut-led Janmat Party Nepal has protested in front of Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority’s (CIAA) Bardibas-based office on Wednesday.

According to Chandan Singh, the General Secretary of the party, the protest is meant to put pressure to the government to take the raid to a substantive end avoiding the practice of dropping the process without taking it to a logical end.

“The raid at the Chief Minister’s Office has to be taken to logical end and the guilty should be booked before the law,” Singh demanded.

CIAA raided the Chief Minister’s Office in Province 2 on September 29, alleging irregularities in the bicycle distribution program under the Save Daughter, Teach Daughter campaign.

Earlier, CM Raut’s the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal had staged a protest against the raid.

CK Raut’s party has demanded the resignation of CM Lal Babu Raut.
