Should Ganesh Man Singh’s family always sacrifice?- Prakash Man Singh

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Prakash Man Singh has asked the party leaders why they expect only NC Supreme leader Ganesh Man Singh’s family to make sacrifice all the time.

Addressing a program organized by Kathmandu Municipal committee of NC on Wednesday, leader Singh, an aspirant for the party President in the forthcoming 14th General Convention, asked NC leadership not to expect  Ganesh Man Singh’s family to sacrifice every time the need to sacrifice key posts in the party.

He opined that Kathmandu Congress should get chance to lead the party now.

“When did Kathmandu get chance to lead NC? Should the leaders and cadres of Kathmandu always sacrifice when the time to lead the country comes?” NC leader Singh said, adding, “This time Kathmandu should lead NC and the country as a whole.”

He recalled that he withdrew his plan to contest as party Chair to make room for NC Senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and Dr. Shashank Koirala and expressed his hope to get their support when he contested for the post now.

He also alleged that poor performance of NC leadership boosted the morale of communist parties in the country.
