Kathmandu schools to open from September 17



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Administration is mulling over resuming the in-persons classes in school to be effective from September 17.

Speaking to the media on Monday, Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Kali Prasad Parajuli, said that the meeting of the stakeholders of schools including the local level representatives, parents and teachers held on Monday discussed about the feasibility of resuming schools soon.

“The meeting with the stakeholders of education sector on Monday discussed on the possibilities of opening the schools,” CDO Parajuli said, adding, “The meeting has assessed the condition of coronavirus and decided that the school can go operational from September 17.”

However, he reminded that health protocol must be followed as prescribed while operating the school.
