Deuba appoints Kapileshwar Yadav as NSU Gen Secy

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has appointed Kapileshwar Yadav as the General Secretary of the Nepali Student Union on Sunday.

Issuing a press statement on Sunday, NC Central Office Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel revealed that party President Deuba appointed Yadav in the new role on Sunday.

Yadav, a leader close to NC leader Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar, is from Sunsair.

The Nepal Democratic Forum led by Gachhadar had merged into NC in October, 2017.

Poudel has described it as an enforcement of the agreement reached with leader Gachhadar’s party at the time of his party’s inclusion in 2017.

While the preparation for the forthcoming 14th general convention is going on, Deuba has appointed a general secretary in the student union close to the party.
