Dhobi Khola swells up due to heavy rain in Valley; surrounding area inundated (Photo Feature)



KATHMANDU: The Dhobi Khola Corridor in Kathmandu has been inundated due to heavy rains continuing since Sunday night. The area has been deluged due to lack of drainage system and heavy rains since last night. Meanwhile, flood waters have entered into some of houses in the area around the corridor.

The area around Madan Bhandari College has been inundated due to continuous rains. People have become restless after the flood waters entered their houses. There has been a problem in the movement of the public since early morning today due to flood waters collected on the river bank roads.

Even though the Dhobi Khola corridor has been made systematic, the area has been inundated due to lack of drainage system. Meanwhile, the Putali Sadak area has also been inundated.
