Nepal sees 3,729 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley sees 701 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 3,729 new cases of coronavirus while 1,885 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 2,430 were detected through RT-PCR method and 6,080 from antigen-method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 25 infected patients died of the virus infection in the past 24 hours. With the recent death toll, total deaths caused due to COVID-19 reached 10,019 in the country.

In the meantime, Kathmandu valley has seen 701 cases of coronavirus in past 24 hours. The Ministry updated that there have been 471 new cases of coronavirus in Kathmandu district whereas Lalitpur and Bhaktapur district witnessed 147 and 83 cases respectively.
