Ruling alliance’s task-force submitting CMP report to PM Deuba today

Covers socio-economic transformation to nat'l consensus



KATHMANDU: The task-force of the ruling coalition is submitting a report on the minimum common program (CMP) today.

The task-force will submit the report to Prime Minister Deuba at the latter’s official residence in Baluwatar today, said a Nepali Congress (NC) leader.

The task-force is scheduled to submit the report to the top leaders of the coalition parties. The task force led by General Secretary of the NC Purna Bahadur Khadka has claimed that the report has been prepared in a way that addresses the concerns of everybody.

The report has been prepared in consultation with the leaders of the ruling alliance, legal experts, economists among others.

The CMP covers programs ranging from emphasizing high economic development to building a basis for socio-economic transformation to building national consensus on foreign policy formulation.

NC General Secretary Khadka, Dr. Minendra Rijal and Ramesh Lekhak from NC, Barshaman Pun and Dev Gurung from the CPN (Maoist Center) and Mahendra Yadav and Rajendra Shrestha from the Janata Samajwadi Party are in the task-force.
