UML Chair ready to restore party status to May 2018 with a catch

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has urged everyone to come forward to unite the party, by saying he is ready to restore party committees’ status to May 16, 2018, and move forward from there.

Issuing a 6-point appeal for party unity Sunday, Oli said that by doing so, the Central Committee and the Standing Committee structures would comprise those who stand in favor of unity. He added that party committees as of May 16, 2018, would be functional after unity in the party.

However, there is a catch that those who signed the writ seeking to make opposition party leader Sher Bahadur Deuba the Prime Minister should withdraw their signatures from the petition.

Meanwhile, the UML Chair assured that all the actions taken against leaders will be reversed, and leaders would not be discriminated.
