Ordinance relating to safety of health workers promulgated



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari issued the Ordinance on Security of Health Workers and Health Institutions (First Amendment), 2021, Sunday.

President Bhandari issued the ordinance on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers in accordance with Article 114 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal, according to a press statement released by Office of the President, Shital Niwas.

Earlier, health workers demanded bringing the ordinance fearing attacks against them duing the pandemic.
