535 penalized for violating health safety standards

KATHMANDU: Police have penalized 535 people for violating health standards Thursday.

Police Spokesperson SSP Basanta Bahadur Kunwar informed that they have been fined under the Infectious Diseases Act, 2020, for violating the criteria set by the Ministry of Health and Population.

Police have also distributed free masks to 6,178 people in different districts today.

Police have continued ‘Where is Your Mask?’ campaign with the slogan ‘Let’s protect ourselves from infection and save others’ to implement health safety protocols to prevent infection, in view of the increasing incidence of Covid-19 with the new variant.

Police is also conducting various awareness programs by displaying awareness messages and vehicle inspections in various places to reduce the risk of Covid-19.
