Gandaki PA session called for May 10

Voting on no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Gurung to take place

KATHMANDU: Gandaki Province Assembly (PA) is set to conduct voting on a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung on May 10.

A meeting of the provincial Business Advisory Committee held Thursday proposed calling a PA session on May 10. All provincial parliamentary parties agreed on the proposed date.

Gandaki PA was set to vote on the motion on April 18 but the session was adjourned after Rastriya Janamorcha lawmaker Khim Bikram Shahi went out of contact on that day.

Interestingly, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is also scheduled to seek a vote of confidence in the Federal Parliament on the same day May 10.

CM Gurung leads a CPN-UML government in Gandaki Province.
