Banke records 10 new deaths linked to COVID-19

KATHMANDU: As many 10 people infected with COVID-19 have died in the course of treatment in Banke district in the last 24 hours.

Nine among those dead are from Banke while the other is from Jajarkot.

According to the hospital, a 56-year-old man of Nainapur rural municipality and a 77-year-old man of Nepalgunj Sub Metropolitan City-19 died in the course of treatment at Bheri Hospital this morning.

Similarly, a 78-year-old man of Nepalgunj-10 succumbed to the virus at 1:40 am while another woman of the same age died at 7 pm on Wednesday.

A 45-year-old man of Nepalgunj Sub Metropolitan City-12 passed away at 6 pm, a 58-year-old man of Nepalgunj-1 on 10 pm and a 27-year-old man of Nepalgunj-10 breathed his last at 10:30 pm yesterday.

Likewise, a 55-year-old man of Nepalgunj Sub Metropolitan City-4 died yesterday midnight and a 43-year-old woman of Bheri municipality-4, Jajarkot passed away in the course of treatment at Bheri Hospital at 9 pm.

With this, the number of deaths from COVID-19 has reached 127 in Banke district.
