Seven COVID-19 infected die in Jhapa in a single day



JHAPA: Seven people infected with COVID-19 have died in Jhapa district in a single day.

The number has reached seven after a 48-year-old man of Mechinagar-6 succumbed to the virus Wednesday evening.

He died in the course of treatment at 4:30 pm while undergoing treatment at Mechi Hospital, Bhadrapur. He was diagnosed with the disease on the same day.

Earlier in the day, six people including a woman had died from the pandemic.

With this, the number of deaths from COVID-19 has reached 143 in Jhapa.
