Leader Nepal for embracing patience if EC doesn’t rule in favor

KATHMANDU: Senior CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has urged leaders and cadres of his faction to be calm and composed even if the Election Commission (EC) legitimizes the Oli faction of the party.

Addressing a program organized to declare Bagmati Province Parallel Committee of Nepal-led faction Tuesday, he said, “If the EC legitimizes Oli as the party chair, we are on the same boat and we won’t leave anyone behind. We will achieve our destination together,” adding, “Where there is problem, there is a solution.”

He indicated his intent of forming an alliance of leftist forces. Leader Nepal told the gathering that he was trying to unify all the leftist forces and was holding talks with top leaders of several political parties.

“The leaderships of Samyukta Janamorcha, Mohan Baidhya-led CPN Maoists and others have reacted positively to our proposal. We will form an alliance with like-minded forces,” Nepal said.

He also charged that Prime Minister and UML Chairman KP Oli was doing injustice to the people and country to save his government.
