Lalitpur Mayor Women’s T20: APF beats Lalitpur by 10 wickets



KATHMANDU: The departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) has clinched a third straight victory by defeating Lalitpur Mayor XI by 10 wickets in a match of the Lalitpur Mayor Women’s Twenty 20 held in the capital on Tuesday.

Chasing a 67-run target set by Lalitpur, FPF reached the target in 9.1 overs without losing any wickets.

For APF, opener duo Rajmati Airee top-scored with 33 runs including four fours off 31 balls while Bindu Sharma scored 28 runs including three fours off 24 balls and remained unbeaten.

Held at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Lalitpur notched up 66 runs losing all wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

None of the batsmen could perform well for Lalitpur, with Kanchan Shrestha scoring the highest 17 runs. Santoshi Chaudhary made 13 runs, Captain Saraswati Chaudhary contributed 12 runs while the other batsmen could not reach double-digit runs.

APF’s Binu Budha Magar grabbed four wickets of Lalitpur, Rekha Rawal took two wickets and, Sita Rana Magar, Sushma Bista and Karuna Bhandari claimed one wicket each.

APF had defeated Pradesh 1 by eight wickets in the first match and Sudurpashchim by 37 runs in the second match.

Lalitpur had lost to Sudurpashchim by seven wickets in the first match and defeated Lumbini Pradesh by 27 runs in the second match.
