Lumbini’s CM recommends to prorogue Provincial Assembly effective from today midnight



KATHMANDU: Chief Minister of Lumbini Pradesh Shankar Pokharel has recommended for the prorogation of the provincial assembly after the opposition parties decided to file a no confidence against him.

With the recommendation by Chief Minister Pokharel, the seventh session of the Provincial Assembly of Lumbini Province will end on Tuesday midnight.

A cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to register a proposal at the provincial parliament secretariat recommending ending the session effective from today midnight (12 am).

A total of five meetings have been held in the winter session of the provincial assembly that began from March 31.

The winter session will come to an end tonight, said Baijanath Chaudhary, the spokesperson of the Lumbini Pradesh government.
