Three killed, four injured in Darchula jeep mishap



DARCHULA: Three people died and four others sustained injuries in a jeep accident at Uchakot in Lekam rural municipality-6 in Darchula.

According to Police Inspector Bhaskar Chand of District Police Office, Darchula, a jeep, Ga 3 Cha 1693, heading to Rithachaupat from Amtoli of Shailyashikahar municipality-8, met with the accident on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased have been identified as 38-year-old driver Karan Nath of Lekam rural municipality-6, 70-year-old Sunadevi Panta and 40-year-old Padam Raj Panta of of Shailyashikhar municipality-8.

Similarly, the injured in the incident are 72-year-old Buddhi Ballav Panta,  Mukesh Panta, 12, Basanta Panta, 7, and  Ganga Panta, 70, informed Chanda.

The injured have been sent to Gokuleshwor for treatment.
