TAPLEJUNG: Two workers of Mid Tamor Hydropower Project being developed in Tamor River of Taplejung district died on the spot after a falling stone hit them while they were at work on Saturday.
The deceased are 22-year-old Amar Bishwakarma of Udayapur district and 24-year-old Santosh Baniya of Bhojpur. Karan Gautam, an official of the Project, said the accident took place at around 2:00 pm when the labours were working inside the tunnel.
The workers were inside the tunnel near an outlet at Mitlung from Thumba area. The District Police Office, Taplejung said further investigations into the incident are ongoing.
