RPP welcomes agreement between government and Biplav group

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairperson Kamal Thapa welcomed the recent agreement between the government and Netra Bikram Chand-led group.

It was a welcoming step for a rebel side to enter mainstream politics for peace and political stability, he said, adding however that the group must submit its weapons to the state to ensure its peace.

“Only words saying it enters peaceful politics means nothing. But it must ensure that it enters peaceful politics by submitting its weapons to the state,” he said.
