Scooter rider killed in Thapathali accident



KATHMANDU: A person riding a scooter has died after being hit by a tipper in Thapathali of Kathmandu on Sunday morning.

The pillion rider has been seriously injured.

A mini tipper (Ba 2 Kha 7327) heading towards Tripureshwor from Thapathali hit a scooter (Ba 24 Pa 9359) heading in the opposite direction at around 6.45 this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sujan Sapkota, 19, of Sitapaila.

According to police, Sapkota died while undergoing treatment at Norvic Hospital in Thapathali.

Ashish Humagain, 22, of the same place is undergoing treatment at the same hospital.

Police have taken the tipper driver under control.
