UML leader Pokhrel says 10-point unity deal cannot be implemented literally

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokhrel has said that the 10-point agreement reached for party unity cannot be implemented in a literal manner.

Though the court legally restored the UML to May 16, 2018, the situation of May 16 will not be structurally same, Pokhrel said at a program held in Biratchowk of Morang on Sunday. He added UML would return to May 16 in a creative manner.

“Return to May 16 is a suggestion made by the 10-point task force and is not a party decision and its implementation will be creative,” he said.

He also urged not to dispel the illusion that the 10-point agreement will be implemented as it is. He argued that it would be unfair for those who came from the other party to return to the status quo of May 16.
