NEPALGUNJ: The number of COVID-19 cases is on the rise in Banke district again.

The district which had dropped to 35 cases has been witnessing a rise of late.

Currently, the number of active infected cases has reached 116. Meanwhile, as many as 48 COVID-19 patients are undergoing treatment at the Bheri Hospital.

On Thursday, the district recorded a total of 31 new cases.

Tej Bahadur Wali, focal person of the District Covid Management Center, said that coronavirus was confirmed in 31 out of 188 people tested in three labs in the district.
