KATHMANDU: Nepal Academy has instituted a ‘Philosophy Promotion Fund’. The fund was set up to advance research and study of philosophy in a systematic manner.
Prof Dr Birendra Prasad Mishra, who was recently honoured with ‘Nepal Academy Social Science, Culture and Philosophy Award’, handed over the cash Rs 200,000 he received as the award to the Academy for the promotion of philosophy related research and study.
Member-Secretary of Academy and Chief of Philosophy Department, Prof Jagat Prasad Upadhyay shared that a decision was made to institute a ‘philosophy promotion fund’ of Rs 500,000, including seed money of Rs 200,000 donated by Prof Dr Mishra.
