Nepal records 2,622 new COVID-19 cases, 23 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 562 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,622 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,745 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 877 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 378 persons in Kathmandu, 124 in Lalitpur, and 60 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 562 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 23 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 2.211 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
