CANBERRA: A blood donation program has been organized in Canberra, the capital of Australia, in collaboration with two Nepali cricket clubs, Buddha Nepalese and Brothers United.

According to Lalit Malla, a member of the Napalese World Donor Association Australia, 16 players from the two clubs donated blood at a blood donation program at the Life Blood Donor Center in Canberra.

Athletes and volunteers Suresh Subedi and Bishal Basnet, who participated in the blood donation drive, expressed happiness over the blood donation.

The players said that they will continue their sacred work related to human life like blood donation in the days to come.

While the Australian Red Cross is calling for blood donation due to lack of blood amidst COVID-19, various organizations and individuals active in the Nepali community have continued to donate blood.

Earlier, Chitwan Society Australia had also conducted a blood donation program in Sydney.
